Things We May Have Gotten Wrong About Extraterrestrials One of the things I seem to always see is the reference to extraterrestrials being older races than us. There is this presumption to be ahead of us in technology these races must have existed longer than us and this is an assumption which could be totally wrong and doesn’t take into consideration intelligence and even luck. It also doesn’t take into account these aliens might have made steady progress in technology because they didn’t have dark ages. There is another fact that also should be taken into consideration, that is their life span. Think about this, if Nikola Tesla could have lived twice as long or longer wouldn’t it be safe to assume he would have made more discoveries and inventions? How many times have scientists died who still had many more ideas, but nature stepped in and finished them off. I always wonder why we humans didn’t make faster technological progress. Modern humans were said to have existed by some for four hundred thousand years, but others dispute this and say three hundred thousand and some even two hundred thousand years. Why was it most of that time it seems not much progress was made? In most of those years we lived in caves and at the mercy of wild animals. Does this mean that extraterrestrials went through the same painful process? Of course not. How many earth years does it take to get to be an advanced race? We got where we are now in just the last five thousand years or so, and even that time could have been much less if we didn’t have the Dark Ages. My opinion for what it is worth is that it could be possible a very young alien race could be ahead of us in technology. There is also a possibility an alien race found the records of an advanced race and used it to gain technological advantages and surpass us. For all we know there could have been advanced races here and maybe one day we will find their records and some of their inventions and use them to advance ourselves. Then there is the fact we don’t know what advanced technology we might find when we start exploring other planets, moons, or any space objects. I remember some people claiming we will find extinct human bases throughout the solar system. They had no proof of this and it was mere speculation, but we really don’t know what is out there. When we get to Mars we might find the remnants of a prior civilization. If we do it might have been more advanced than we are. That could give us a boost in technology. When I talk about luck, what I am thinking of is finding advanced technology as we ply the planets. I am talking about finding things or getting unexpected breakthroughs in technology. An example of an unexpected breakthrough could be a working nuclear fusion generator. We have spent decades and tons of cash trying to perfect this and almost every month there is someone saying we are making progress, but we still haven’t built a dependable one yet as far as I know. There is a suspicion a small one was created and it is being kept secret. There is always the chance an extraterrestrial race which was very advanced decided to help a less advanced race. For all we know, maybe this goes on more than we know and those UFOs we see in the sky were the product of such help and the only reason we have not received this help is we are too warlike and the aliens are worried we would use the technology they gave us for war and maybe even against them. This brings me to the question, were we kept primitive for so long in the hope we would work our war like natures out? Could our ancient relatives have been kept from advancing on purpose? Maybe we had the potential of getting to where we are today and maybe we could have done it in a few thousand years. We know the ancient Greeks were headed into the technological world, and while their weapons were adopted, none of their technology seems to have been, like the steam engine and robots, to mention a couple. Could beings have been given us help to advance us? Einstein and Tesla both said they would get a complete picture which came into their brains of an invention or project and they would just copy it. Doesn’t this sound very strange? Could it be these ideas were sent to them by extraterrestrials to try and advance us and this has happened more often than not with others and that is one of the reasons we have gotten this far? If that is so is there a point where this will stop, or could it have already? Could it turn out the population on earth is subject to alien control in some way? If this is true is there ever a scenario where they would just give up on us? They might think there is no hope for us and decide to save the planet by eliminating the threat which is us. On the other hand, could they just wipe out our warring ways, do they have the power to alter us this way? Are they studying us for this reason and that is why there have been abductions? There have been many instances where people who were being abducted claim they were paralyzed just by the aliens looking at them. They have demonstrated many times they can control our brains and send and receive communications telepathically. Knowing this, it seems they might have the ability to alter the way we think. If they have this power, will they ever use it against us or either alter the way we think or put some kind of brain lock on us to prevent us from starting a nuclear war? There have been stories that when one extraterrestrial was asked his I.Q. it was several times higher than the highest one on earth. I don’t know if this was true, but I guess it was possible. If he was just an average being from his race, that means at least some aliens are far smarter than we are. This might mean they think they know what is best for us. I hate to say this, but they could be right, because sometimes we are our worst enemy. Still, I certainly wouldn’t want us being under their collective thumbs, if they have thumbs.
