Famous UFO Cases
I think today I would like to go over some of the most famous UFO events in history and what better way to start than with Ezekiel. It looks like he was the most famous abductee. His description of a space ship landing on earth was made by terms from his time and I think we can understand why. There was nothing in the human race at the time which he could use to get a more accurate description. When he said the object had wheels within wheels it was as close as he could get. Many believe he was never returned to earth. Of course, when we are talking about such ancient times, that fact is hard to find out.
There is a famous case in Japan from 1803 where it was said an extraterrestrial woman landed in the waters off Japan and was brought ashore. She was described in old documents as being very pale and having red hair. The Japanese couldn’t understand her language. It had been reported this woman and her craft had visited many areas of Japan. What was really strange was so many Japanese from all over had claimed to have seen her. Some say she was assisted back into her craft and it went into the water and she disappeared. The sighting was named Utsuro Fune, which means ship hole.
In 1897 a strange UFO case occurred in Aurora, Texas. A strange looking airship crashed into a windmill and when the ship was examined, an extraterrestrial pilot was found dead in the craft. The town’s people were shocked at what they saw, but being good religious people, they called in the town’s clergyman to bless the pilot and conducted a funeral for him and buried him. For years people went into the town’s cemetery and the town’s people got tired of trying to protect that grave from being desecrated and decided to move it and take down the headstone. For decades people have also been looking for parts from the ship and some were said to have been found in a well which was also contaminated. It is said the metal which was found looked like a combination of silver and aluminum, but it was heavier.
As we start to move into more modern UFO events, I guess we have to mention one that is worn out by now and that is the crash at Roswell, New Mexico. Most of the people involved are dead, but the story goes a spacecraft crashed on a ranch in 1947, and it was first reported as a flying saucer crash but the next day that was retracted and the military said it was a weather balloon. There were many witnesses and it was said small coffins were ordered from the local undertaker for small aliens which were killed in the crash. Some say a live alien was taken prisoner. This is probably the most famous UFO case in American History.
Another famous 1947 UFO case was the Kenneth Arnold UFO sighting. Kenneth Arnold was a pilot and had a small plane. One day when he was piloting his plane, he couldn’t believe what he was seeing. He saw nine objects flying past Mount Rainier and they were not planes. He estimated their speed at the time as about 1,200 mph. He said they looked like saucers skimming over the water and submitted drawings of what he saw to the authorities. The name flying saucers stuck.
When I was interviewing Timothy Good, the famous UFO author and musician, he told me about the following story which is now famous in some circles. The Russians had figured out powerful radar beams affected UFOs in flight and might be able to down them. They decided to build a powerful radar weapon to shoot down UFOs. They put it on a military base and before they could test in on a UFO, a UFO flew over the base and sent out a beam. The beam passed through a soldier and his dog without harm, but when it hit the building containing the radar weapon it blew it to pieces.
One extremely strange case has to do with an American airbase in England. It is known as the Rendlesham Forest incident. American airmen thought a plane crashed in the woods next to the base and some of them went out to see. The year was 1980. The airbase was RAF Woodbridge and as I said it was being used by the American Air Force. Lights were seen in the forest. Then the UFO was seen and it had landed. Even the deputy commander of the base got interested and went into the woods. One airman touched the object and said later on his brain was flooded with 0s and 1s which he was able to record later on and it was a message in binary which stated it was from the future and from earth. The case got buried by the British authorities, but it never went away.
There are so many UFO incidents lately it is hard to decide which are the most important ones. The case of Travis Walton seems to belong. The book about his abduction is named Fire In The Sky. Walton was a lumberjack and was returning home after a hard day’s work. He was in a truck with other men when he saw a bright light in the forest. It was a UFO and he got out of the truck and headed towards it against the wishes of the others. As he neared the UFO there was an explosion of light and he disappeared. The others left and went to the authorities and searches were conducted but to no avail. Five days later he appeared again. He started to have flashbacks of his abduction and said he woke in a cocoon and broke out into a cylinder. He said he was dragged into an examination room and stuck with devices and finally let free.
To me one of the most powerful sightings and events had to do with a UFO which flew and hovered over Malmstrom Air Force Base in Montana. An airman outside had called and reported a UFO over the base. Missiles started to be deactivated one by one and the system showed there was nothing wrong. The UFO had turned off the missiles presumably to show they had the power to stop the missiles from being launched. This occurred several other times and not just in the United States, but also in Russia.
There are plenty of other famous cases but I am leaving them for another time.
