UFO Sightings By Native Americans, Aboriginals and Eskimos
When we talk about UFO sightings, did you ever notice there are none listed for American Indians, Australian Aborigines, or others from native tribes? I have and I began to wonder why. Do we not consider them just as important as other sightings, or maybe they just don’t speak about the sightings they see? Whatever the reason, this has become very noticeable to me.
It turns out American Indians have mentioned having UFO sightings. We know that some tribes believe they were brought here by aliens and consider them gods. They seem to have a sort of relationship with them and some even mention the fact their ancestors communicated with them. They sometimes are referred to as Star People. One native American had a job with Buffalo Bill’s Wild West Show. He witnessed what he said were flying shields in the sky. Of course, we would call them UFOs.
There are plenty of stories which have been passed down which have to do with aliens. Some of the stories refer to the fact Star People came to the earth a long time ago and taught the native Americans. They were said to have been very good to the people and brought them learning materials. What is amazing is the fact some of these tribes can pinpoint the area they think they came from since it was saved in their oral history. For example, the Hopi believe they are descendants of people who originally lived in the Pleiades and were brought here. Who can prove they are wrong?
The native Americans sometimes have a religious connection to the UFO phenomena. Some tribes believe the souls within their bodies come from outer space. Some believe when you die you travel across the Milky Way. To these tribes death is just a change of dimensions. One tribe mentions the fact there was a UFO crash in 1945. The crash shook the house and a grandfather brought his grandson to see what happened. A metallic craft had crashed and created a crater. When they got to the sight the occupants of the craft were still alive. They were about 8 feet tall and wore green suits. As the two tried to converse with the aliens they vanished. This was not the end however. The aliens started to appear around the outside of the house. The grandfather always gave them a friendly greeting. It seems they had the ability to appear and disappear at will and were very standoffish at first. Finally, it is said the aliens decided to invite the grandfather to their ship. Once there the aliens explained telepathically about where they came from. Apparently, they had been coming here for thousands of years and came from a planet where they had to live under domes. They said they were trying to communicate with the mothership but had to work on their communications which had been damaged. A little later the military appeared and secured the area. The next day the grandfather went to the crash site but the ship and aliens were gone. After that the government turned the entire area into a lake including the grandfather’s property.
It turns out UFOs fly all over and this includes Indian reservations. Reports have come out about UFOs before they were recognized by the rest of us. The famous Skinwalker ranch with all its UFO sightings is surrounded by an Indian reservation. Not only have UFO sightings been taking place at the ranch, but the Indians there have reported seeing all sorts of strange craft in the sky.
In August 1999 there was a UFO event which occurred over the Cheyenne River Lakota Sioux Indian Reservation, in South Dakota. There were multiple witnesses from the reservation and multiple sightings over a period of days.
The Aboriginal people of Australia have a long tradition of UFO sightings. While they didn’t have a written language until relatively recently, they did draw many pictures known as petroglyphs. These were etched and painted onto rocks and rock walls. The Aboriginal people are the oldest continuous race of native people stretching back 50,000 years plus and they have recorded a lot. Their petroglyphs go back thousands of years and some depict UFOs and what are believed to be aliens.
An investigation was made as to UFO sightings by the Aboriginal people and some came to light. Many Aboriginals had seen UFOs and felt they were only there to get water. After rains or at night they reported they would see UFOs and it was many people who saw them. The natives said they were never harmed by the aliens, but strangers were told not to go out at night or after a rain storm. There was something unusual however and that was the fact there had been alien abductions to the non-natives in the area. One occasion which was cited had to do with two men. One of them who was not a native got abducted and not the other. He was never seen again. That is an ominous thought. No Aboriginal was ever abducted from that area and even strange no non-native was ever abducted when in the company of an Aboriginal.
The Eskimos also have had some UFO sightings. In 1972 an Eskimo scout and his wife sighted a UFO in the sky. They said it was shaped like a football and they could see the cockpit and red lights. It was rather a long incident with the UFO remaining visible for over five minutes. As they watched the object landed and then took off. The Army Corps of Engineers were sent to the sight to examine it and found three holes in the ground about two inches deep where the witnesses said the object landed.
There is a very strange story concerning an Eskimo village. It goes back to the 1930s. The village was located in Canada. A trapper stopped at an Eskimo village on his way and was greeted and was said to stay at least one night. After months of trapping, he went back to the village and it was deserted. The sled dogs had all frozen to death and food was still on tables and pots over fires. An investigation was conducted but none of the people from the village were ever found. It was thought the entire village had been abducted by aliens. Yes, this was only a theory, but the entire event seemed to have no other answer.
I think we can see the native people of many different areas have also witnessed UFOs. The difference being some of them believe they may have come from the stars themselves.
