UFOs and U.S. Navy Ships Many people in the U.S. and outside were surprised about the news a UFO was seen by the crew of the Nimitz off the coast of San Diego in 2004. I personally do not understand the shock since UFOs have been seen not only by many U.S. Navy ships, but also by military ships from all over the world. The UFO did physics defying movements which startled not only those watching, but also those who examined the video and still photos. The Nimitz had launched two fighters which were contacted by another ship, a missile cruiser named the USS Princeton who asked the pilots what weapons they were armed with, which turned out to be dummies. The radio operator explained they were following strange aircraft for about two weeks. Apparently, the Princeton was tracking UFOs. The planes went to investigate. Usually when this happens the UFOs are gone so when the planes discovered one under the surface of the water and the other about 50 feet above it, the pilots were very surprised. One of the pilots said when he got near the submerged object it rose up and headed toward him, but peeled off when it got near. The pilot said he had never seen anything like it and the way if flew. I bet you didn’t know that in 1955 a UFO landed on a US Navy aircraft carrier. There is a photo of the event and a book has been written about it. It has been said this was not unusual and the beings flying these ships were what is known as Nordics, tall blond human creatures which looked just like us. Supposedly the UFOs would land and the aliens would talk to the leaders of countries. We just keep hearing more about meetings with extraterrestrials and humans. The USS Franklin D. Roosevelt was the flag ship of the fleet in 1952. A crew member said the ship was north and east of England and was with the NATO fleet when a big blue-white light appeared just off the bow of the ship. It descended to about 100 feet and just hung over the ship. Four crewmen had seen the UFO before it accelerated off. Eisenhower was on the ship and had just gotten onto the bridge. This ship, which was an aircraft carrier, was the first to carry nuclear weapons. When the U.S. fleet was off the coast of Guadalcanal preparing for the invasion of that island in World War II, one ship in the fleet, the U.S.S. Helm #338 had an observation of a UFO and radioed it out to the entire fleet and a few minutes later the fleet saw the object. The object approached the fleet and came within 3,000 yards. At that point the fleet fired at the object. When the UFO discovered it was being fired upon it made a sharp right turn and sped further away. It returned and came within 3,500 yards and circled the entire fleet. The gun crews tried their best to hit the object, but it was too fast. It was estimated the object was circling the fleet at speeds in excess of 10,000 miles per hour. After five minutes the incident was over. In 1982 the U.S. Navy had an airplane tender ship refurbished for carrying components for nuclear weapons and for some reason UFOs seemed to be very curious about nukes. The name of the ship was The Curtiss. During that time an unidentified luminous object passed low and fast over the ship from bow to stern. There were secret nuclear tests being conducted and unexpected heavy fallout exposed many to excess radiation. The test was known as one in the CASTLE series. The carrier Franklin D. Roosevelt was involved with UFOs again in 1956. On the night of July 26, 1956. There were four lookouts on deck that night. The first one called in with a sighting of a strange craft then a second. After hearing these reports, the radio operator went topside to see for himself. He saw two saucer like aircraft flying through the sky. They were traveling with tremendous speed and vanished. When the objects were first seen they were stacked one over the other and stopped moving and hovered. As witness watched the upper ship dropped something glowing which onlookers described as a fire ball on the other ship and then they both sped away. The witnesses were told not to talk about this to anyone. The sightings lasted about 7 minutes. One sighting which was believed to have taken place in 1966 involved the carrier U.S.S. Yorktown. The carrier with its escort ships was several days out from Pearl Harbor. The ships were heading to Japan and then on to Vietnam. Four lookouts were on deck duty. The sky was clear. Two lookouts saw a light in the sky heading for the carrier. The light was not registering on radar. The light was almost overhead and then stopped. It hovered over the carrier for several minutes. After several minutes went by the object increased in luminosity and lit up the entire battle group like it was daytime. After it accomplished this, it started to move and then shot off under extreme acceleration. This is really getting weird. In 1975 the carrier the U.S.S. Franklin D. Roosevelt is once again involved with UFOs. Witnesses onboard had spotted an object below the surface in 1975. The object was known as a USO. A USO is a submerged UFO or Unidentified Submerged Object. The carrier was off the coast of Italy. Almost 100 members of the crew had seen the mysterious object before it dived down much deeper and disappeared. It was described as having round portholes on the rim, being pebble-shaped and colored gray. The Franklin D. Roosevelt was decommissioned in October 1977. Maybe that was a good thing. It seems to have attracted far too much interest by UFOs. As I said there are plenty of UFOs being observed from U.S. Naval vessels. There are also many by the Russians and others. We have to remember we live on a world which is mostly water, so it stands to reason many UFOs would be seen flying over the ocean and maybe even sailing under it, of particular interest to me was the fact the Franklin D. Roosevelt had so many incidents with UFOs. I think it is important to note these were only the ones which were reported and I am not sure I even got all of those. Why were the UFOs so fascinated with this carrier? |
