Settling the Moon and Mars If one looks carefully, they can see the advancement of technology which involves not only space travel, but also the advancements in preparing another planet, moon, or asteroid to live on or mine. If we keep going, sooner or later we may run into Ming the Merciless. In case you don’t know what I am talking about Ming the Merciless was the foe of Flash Gordon. If you are too young to know who Flash Gordon was, he was a very famous character who went on a spacecraft developed by Doctor Zarkov but was hijacked by Ming who wanted to destroy the earth. The reason Gordon was given the nickname Flash was because he was a football player and was very fast. The question is what will we do if we run into extraterrestrials who want to annihilate us? Maybe I should start out by asking the question could we do anything? I guess it would depend on their and our levels of technology. If we are stuck with rocket technology there wouldn’t be much we could do if they just wanted to stay in space and launch asteroids or bombs against us, but if we had spacecraft which were much faster and could fly up and meet a challenge, we could stand a chance. Even better if we had the ability to go to the enemy’s home planet and threaten it, they might think twice about killing all of us. On the other hand, would we be willing to completely change our society if aliens offer us a better life but we have to change things like the way we govern ourselves, get rid of political parties and reform the military industrial complex so they don’t have the lobbying power they have now? There might be quite a few people and companies which wouldn’t want to lose their power. I think we have seen many times when things could have been made better, but it didn’t suit the political parties or the people in power. Forget extraterrestrials for a second and look at what is happening in our country right now. We are destroying our country. It is being done on purpose by allowing millions upon millions to just walk in and flood us. Everyone knows it is wrong and very harmful, but yet it is being permitted even though some are bringing deadly drugs with them and killing Americans at an unprecedented rate. We certainly don’t need extraterrestrials to wipe us out, we are capable of doing it on our own. We are bringing back many of the old-time diseases also by letting all these unchecked people into the country and soon will collapse our social nets that we currently enjoy. How long do we really think Medicaid and other handouts can keep giving away more and more money to illegal aliens before going broke for the rest of us? We are working to get more speed out of spacecraft. For now, I am going to assume we haven’t learned anything from UAPs, only because everything is so secret I can’t be sure what improvements we have are from examining crashed UAPs. We have a rotating detonation rocket motor we are working on which is faster and uses less fuel. We are also working on a nuclear rocket engine. We have been working on antigravity engines for decades and rumors have it we have three different types, but nothing can be confirmed. We need a lot more speed and even light speed, which would be helpful for solar system travel doesn’t cut it for going outside the solar system because it is too slow. We have to realize what huge distances there are in space between planets, solar systems and galaxies. Assuming the first place we get to is back to the moon. What do we do when we get there? It will no doubt be a place when everything we do to create a habitat will be a first, so I suspect there may be a lot of things we do that ultimately will teach us better ways in the future. One of the things scientists are looking into is self-assembly structures. NASA has already demonstrated a robotic self-assembly structure. NASA claims they could program the robots to create different types of buildings. Say we do build a base on the moon; how would we breathe? We could make the inside of the structure contain an atmosphere, much as a submarine does. There is another method however and some believe we have used it before. It depends if you buy the story ancient humans were to the moon before we were around. It is claimed some of the craters have ruined glass domes that could be millions of years old. Even if this is not true, maybe it would be better to build in craters, put a dome over them and pump in an atmosphere. This way you could have several buildings protected by one structure. The glass or whatever is used to cover the craters would have to be made so they would not shatter if hit by an object and could easily be repaired. One thing I can’t figure out is why so many people are worried the Chinese will get there ahead of us now that we postponed the flight. We already have the record of being the first humans on the moon and that can never be taken from us. Are they afraid China will claim the moon as Chinese territory? I don’t believe anyone would respect that claim. When we go to Mars no doubt, we will apply the things we learned from construction on the moon to building on Mars. Unlike the moon, Mars will probably someday have an atmosphere that we created. Once that happens it might become quite the tourist destination, especially if archaeological finds which prove past life are found. Some think it will be found and there is a chance the former residents looked like us and were us, and some migrated to the earth and started the human race. There are just too many objects which were found in NASA photos that look intelligent made to be ignored. I often thought there was some exploration going on, on the red planet we know nothing about and could also be taking place on the moon. The moon has some interesting shaped objects which look manmade, like a rectangular structure with 90-degree corners. It reminds me of the remaining walls of a house. It could be sometime in our dim past we did all this before.
