Science just keeps amazing us. Recently scientists found out that randomness in prime numbers was not entirely random. Apart from the numbers 2 and 5, all prime numbers end in 1, 3, 7 and 9. If the numbers were truly random you would find the same instances of each of the four numbers, but we don’t. If a prime number ends in 1, it is less likely to be followed by another number ending in 1. This shouldn’t be, because randomness would dictate each of the prime numbers except for the 2 and 5 would have the same number of instances, because the law of averages dictates this. I am going to take this a step further. There is no real randomness in random numbers generated in a computer so what am I saying here? Could it be our world of prime numbers was programmed by some higher power? Some of the crowd who don’t believe in God, but in the fact we are all holograms in some kind of a computer program would probably agree with that. Other religious people might say God programmed everything. All I know is we have a group of very surprised scientists and they don’t know what to think.

Sometimes scientists accomplish something which is truly wonderful and this is precisely what has happened. Scientists working in a laboratory have grown eye tissue from scratch. They then took this tissue and used it to restore the vision of a blind rabbit. It wasn’t that the scientists started with eye tissue, because they didn’t. What they started with was stem cells and they were able to get these cells to become eye tissue. Corneas were created and they worked in restoring vision. It is amazing how scientists can now mold stem cells into almost any kind of tissue. Rejection by the body will become a thing of the past, because stem cells can come from one’s own body and be used to grow organs and many other types of cells. The corneas which were grown came from the rabbit’s skin cells. China has already repaired the eyes of 12 children under two years old using stem cells.

Scientists have known for some time that obesity will increase colon cancer in humans. The same is true for mice. When overweight mice were examined, scientists noticed an increase in intestinal stem cells. This happened because a protein which regulates metabolism was activated.  It is called PPAR-δ. Now the question is, is the same thing happening in humans? Scientists will now concentrate on trying to answer that question. If they find out this is what is happening perhaps they will be able to figure out how to turn the protein off.

We all know there is almost a mystical connection between a mother and her children. Scientists think they have found one of the reasons why. They have found mothers have cells from their offspring in their brains. Life is incredible and we just keep finding out more about it.

Anti-ageing is certainly one of the big studies in labs all over the world. I don’t want to say it is driven by the ultra-rich, but they certainly do have a hand in it. Anti-ageing certainly presents many problems, but they are not all solvable in the laboratory. There is a huge social problem which is presented with a successful answer to ageing and it is will the medicine be available to everyone? The powers that really control the planet believe there are too many people on it already and I am sure they are not ready to let the rest of us live longer lives if they can prevent it. So here is the question, if a formula is found, or a treatment which reverses ageing, will the common person even know, or will it become a secret and only available to the rich and powerful. I say keep watching them and if it begins to look like they are not ageing you will have your answer. The answer might even turn out to be using stem cells in some unique way. Some scientists have even be able to extend the life span of mice up to 35 percent.

George Orwell here we come. Scientists are working on technology which will allow the creation of artificial wombs. Way back in 1990 the Japanese were able to keep goat fetuses alive and maintained in machines containing artificial amniotic fluid. Today a fetus at about 22 weeks old can be removed from the mother and kept alive. While this is true, the ability to keep even younger fetuses alive is on the horizon and it seems only a matter of time before we will create a fully functional womb.

One of the worst things about kidney dialysis is it is long and boring and must be done quite frequently. Scientists are saying this could become a thing of the past, because an artificial kidney made of nanofilters and living cells is being created and this will replace dialysis someday.

There has been many different ways explored to break our reliance on fossil fuels. If we combine several technologies we could probably do it, but China is working on something very unique and that is the creation of an artificial sun and it is being said they are getting close. Some scientists are saying this will be the true method which will relieve us from coal and oil and put nuclear power out of the equation. Think of an inexhaustible source of power coming from an artificial sun, because this is what we are talking about. The Chinese were able to produce temperatures of 50 million Kelvins which is 49.999 million°C and maintain it for 102 seconds. This is a lot longer than anyone else. It seems to only be a matter of time, before they accomplish their task, unless some unseen thing goes wrong.
