Paranormal Activities
A paranormal investigation of “The Twisted Tail” in Philadelphia has turned up some unexpected paranormal activity. Investigators in the basement kept hearing heavy footsteps on the floor above when the building was empty. The investigators went up to check the bar area, but nothing was there. They then returned to the basement where the footsteps on the floor above could be heard again. There have been claims in this bar area of things moving on their own, and a lot of strange noises. People who go there sometimes feel creeped out. As active as the bar area is, investigators said the kitchen had the most events. One women complained that her IPod kept shutting down while she was in there. When the IPod was covered with the woman’s hand it played uninterrupted, but take the hand away and it would stop. The basement has a history of bursting light bulbs.
Paranormal investigators are about to conduct a paranormal investigation of Flushing Meadow Park in Queens, New York. The park is in the center of Queens and is 1255 acres in size. It is ironic in a way to have an investigation here since a few years ago a UFO landed by the lake in the park in sight of a bus load of seniors and the police were called, but got there after it took off. Some people equate UFO sightings with the paranormal, I am not one of them however. I wondered why the park was picked for this investigation, but the only thing I could find out was the structures from the 1939 World’s Fair and the 1964 World’s Fair, which are still there are felt to be an aid in ghost hunting.
Two popular Filipinos, one a film star and the other a singer decided to wed and have an outdoor wedding. Many photos were taken at the wedding, but the one which drew the most attention was the one of the couple cutting their wedding cake.Β In the background is a stand of trees. I don’t know if it is woods or just a few trees, but that is irrelevant in this case. What seems to be a shadowy figure can be seen in the background. It is hard to see, but if you look hard enough it seems to be there, of course people can make out many shapes when staring at things which are just tricks of the brain so who knows what is going on? Royal Oak Michigan is now allowing paid tours of it oldest structure a 19th century farmhouse which is said to be haunted by spirits of humans and animals. The name of the structure is the Orson Starr House which was built in 1845. It is said that the farmer, Orson Starr still inhabits the building with his dog, a German shepherd. “We have an older man down in the basement, we've heard children laughing and there's a woman that people have heard as well," said the treasurer of the Royal Oak Historical Commission. Paranormal investigators claim they have an actual photo of the dog spirit which was taken when it was seen in a coal chute. Some cities have realized there is gold out there in some of their old buildings. It is mined by conducting paranormal tours.
I wonder how many people realize that Charles Dickens the famous writer was a believer in the paranormal? Perhaps this is one of the reasons he wrote the famous “A Christmas Carol?” Believing in the paranormal in the 1800s and early 1900s was very popular and there were quite a few famous spiritualists and almost every one of them was proven to be a fraud. When Houdini came on the scene he debunked everyone he could find, because he soon found out they couldn’t really bring him contact with his beloved mother. So it was not unusual to find famous people who believed in this stuff in those days.
If you ask Lain Alderton who has taken a strange photo, what it is of he will tell you he took a photo of the most famous ghost in Wales. It is of the bloodiest judges, Judge Jeffreys who was notorious for hanging more than 1,000 people in the 1600s. He was truly the Hanging Judge.” Here is the address to the photo and story, you can copy and paste it into your browser http://www.walesonline.co.uk/news/wales-news/ghost-hunter-caught-wales-most-8282784. Besides hanging he was famous for having people buried alive, beheaded and burned at the stake. So where was this photo taken? It turns out at an old hangout of the judge, the Lichester Arms in London. The owner of this pub wanted it investigated, because he was hearing all sorts of sounds at night and that is what brought the paranormal investigator there.
Father Gary Thomas is an exorcist trained in Rome. He was the advisor for the film “The Rite” which was loosely based on his experiences. Father Thomas has said he has come face to face with Satan. He tells of seeing girls screaming in agony as their bodies are contorted saying they curse, spit and growl. When they talk he has heard them speak in unknown languages. “I don’t think I’d ever seen Satan until I became an exorcist,” he said. He went on to say he does not get offended if people don’t believe him. Father Thomas said there are people who do not believe in demons even in the church, but he can assure them they are real.
A group of university level researchers and people who have had the data from their paranormal experiences published formed Project Core a private venture which analyzes over 200 paranormal experiences. The researchers believe they now have opportunities to investigate the reports in a systematic manner which was not previously believed possible for scientists. Some of the experiences stated contain multiple witnesses and some of the respondents have had multiple experiences. What I don’t like about this is that Alien and UFO experiences are considered paranormal and included in the data. I think they are mixing apples and oranges.
