More News 5 October 2020
There seems to be a lot of unusual news out there. The topics range all over the map. I like odd news because it not only is interesting, but sometimes it makes us think about thinks we normally wouldn’t. Take for example disinfecting a surface with Lysol, Clorox or some other disinfectant. Have you ever thought about how the germs feel about this? No, I haven’t lost my mind yet. I am only mentioning this because of a new report which came out. The report states bacteria scream when they die. I guess we can’t hear this because of their tiny voices. Wait a second, how could they even have voices? It turns out the screams are not audible, but chemical. They release a chemical to warn their fellow bacteria they are being murdered. Yipes!
One thing I read was right in my ball park. I often wondered if we couldn’t put all that nuclear waste to use, but I never saw anyone trying to do this. This apparently has changed. There is a new company on the horizon named NDB which is taking small parts of nuclear waste and making batteries out of it. I have to wonder if the public will accept using batteries which are nuclear, would you? It is claimed they have the charge up to 40 percent and hope to get it to 100 percent. If they do it is said the battery could last between a decade and 28,000 years. This seems to bring up a problem. We still would need a safe way of disposing of the batteries after a while, especially for those 28,000 year ones. The company is saying the batteries are very safe and give off less radiation that our own bodies do. Think about this, you buy an electric car and it comes with batteries that last so long they outlast the car. You would never need to replace them.
Speaking about radiation, scientists say they just discovered the fact the Earth has been moving through a sort of radioactive cloud for the last 33,000 years. They claim the cloud was caused by a star exploding as a supernovae. What does this mean to us, the occupants of Earth? Could this be the reason for some high rates of cancer? Perhaps in some way this has changed us from who we were before we went into the cloud. The question is how did this affect our environment? I adhere to the old saying, if something doesn’t help you in any way, and seems to have no benefits, then it could be bad for you even if you don’t realize it.
Scientists love theories. Einstein tried to explain everything in the universe in his Unified Field theory. He didn’t quite make it. Scientists today have come out with a new meta-theory of physics they think might be able to explain everything. I certainly find this hard to swallow. Life and the universe is so complex I almost feel it is arrogant to think you can or have figures out everything. I can’t help but feel no matter how many more years our race is on the planet we will never have all the answers.
A lot of people were surprised about what I said on Facebook about Egypt not having the most pyramids. As of now that country is Sudan. Does this mean Sudan will always have the most pyramids? Maybe not, it is said over 85 percent of Egyptian monuments are still buried under the sand. There is also a chance some other country might dig up a lot of them, a country we never suspected of having any. Maybe it will turn out to be us or China. We know China has some pyramids but they like to hide the fact. Why would they do this? There are those who believe they are afraid they will prove the Chinese didn’t start China. Red headed individuals have been found in some very old tombs in the area and some believe they were the original founders.
NASA has created a board which is said to be deciding the best way to protect the samples which are going to be sent back from Mars for examination. As I have said many times it seems foolish to me to bring samples from other worlds here. Some even say we have to be very careful what we take from the poles here since there are microbes under the ice which could carry disease. Does it sound like a good plan sending samples back to Earth and even thinking about this while the Earth is experiencing a pandemic? They should be sent to a lab on the space station or wait until secure labs are built on the moon. The samples will be in 53 cigar sized tubes and be sent to many different countries making matters even worse. We can expect this to happen by 2031.
The lava tubes on the moon are huge. How huge are they? Experts are saying they are so large an entire city can be put inside one. Wouldn’t it be something if we get to the moon again and examine these tubes and find either ruins or active cities? Imagine life existing in a place we had written off a long time ago.
It is being said Covid-19 was in China as early as 2012 and we never knew it. If this was the case, I wonder why it took so long to spread? Supposedly it was first contracted by a group of Chinese miners. Interestingly they were working over 1,000 miles from Wuhan, the Chinese city being blamed for being where the virus started. Two molecular biologists translated a paper from a Chinese doctor who claimed he had treated the miners. The miners got sick after removing bat feces for about 14 days. Notice the 14 day period before they were sick. Tissue samples were taken and sent to a Chinese laboratory where a diagnosis of a SARS-like coronavirus was contracted from a Rufous Horseshoe bat. All this boils down to Coronavirus-19.
The CIA has declassified Project Aquiline. The project was created in the 1960s. Its focus was on building a bird-like unmanned vehicle. They wanted it to be able to photograph and do electronic intelligence. It was also to contain other sensors. Studies were made to see if it was feasible to use a radioisotope to power it because this would allow the device to stay airborne for over 30 days. The nose was to deploy a tv camera for steering. It sounds almost like the drones we use today, but not as sophisticated.
