More News 25 March 2020 When I write articles sometimes there are other things going on I don’t talk about. Articles are usually written four to six weeks before they are posted, so I just want to mention the fact today is a super Newsday. The articles of impeachment for the president have been moved to the Senate and at the same time the Senate has passed the president’s trade deal with Canada and Mexico. It is such a bizarre day I just felt I had to mention this. Due to a death of my dear wife the articles fell six more week behind. An article appeared in the_byte stating our personal data is being sold by Grindr and Tinder. I never heard of these companies but I have found out they are dating platforms. The article says they have been quietly selling their android app uses data to third-party companies. I have always suspected there are some companies which claim to be one type of company, but they are really there only to gather your personal data and sell it. In this case I know nothing about these companies as I said and I am only repeating what the article stated, but I think this is a warning we should be heeding, and that warning is to not give out your personal data unless you know the company you are giving it to has adequate protection and will not sell it. Unfortunately, even though I’ve said this, if we look at the record for companies, even famous ones, it is not very good when it comes to protecting our data. One of my favorite topics, which reappears regularly has to do with the discovery of Atlantis. Every year since I have been writing for my two different websites, I have come across information stating Atlantis has been discovered, only to be disappointed. Here we go again. It is being said Atlantis has been discovered off the coast of Britain. This claim was made by a historian and it is based on geographical history. This history is of the Atlantic Ocean. This historian states Rockall shows signs of man-made features which he thinks proven ancient civilization existed there and has come to the conclusion is the most likely place for Atlantis to have been. This goes against many other people who claim Atlantis is in all different parts of the world and some of these places are even near the Americas. If we get right down to the nitty-gritty, Atlantis was never supposed to be a real location, but to some Plato was talking about history, but to others it was merely fiction. I’m sure the subject of Atlantis will come up again, maybe this year or next, but we haven’t seen the end of the search for it. Humans have been using cement for thousands of years and the Romans really got good at making it and even invented a cement which dried under water. Their cement got harder as it aged, which made it even stronger. Scientists have recently created a cement out of living material. It is hoped this material will be able to flourish using photosynthesis and might even be able to heal cracks. Some scientists are saying it again. They are claiming humans are not natural to the planet Earth. I’ve covered this a couple of times before and there is reason to think they may be right. First of all, the gravity is a little too strong for us and that is why we have so much lower back problems. All the other animals on earth have no problem with pregnancy and childbirth yet humans suffer severe pain. Many humans cannot stay out in the sun very long. We are much better suited to a Mars sized planet which has a little less gravity, and is further from the sun. One scientist went as far as to say we were brought here by aliens and he gave his opinion the reason was this is a prison planet. Give me a break. Scientists saying things without evidence just reminds me of politicians doing the same thing. The scientist could have said anything, why he picked the idea this was a prison planet is beyond me. If it is a prison planet it is probably one of the nicest prison planets there ever were. I should have left out this bit of news, and I don’t know why I found it funny, but I did so you will have to forgive me. I think I found it funny because the company am about to tell you about was Segway. They are the ones responsible for those two wheel scooter type vehicles that you balance yourself on. The wheels are not one in front of the other, they are side-by-side. Anyway, they developed a wheelchair. When we think of wheelchairs, even ones that a self-propelled what do we picture in our heads as top speed? I picture something that can go at walking speed, but this was not what Segway thought. They gave their wheelchair a top speed of 24 miles per hour. Luckily, they cut that speed down for a demonstration to about 7 miles per hour. The demo went well until the chair crashed into a wall. Can you imagine if it was going at full speed what might have happened? You would think by now we would know everything about the earth, but we don’t. The proof of this is two mysterious blobs have been discovered. One is below Africa and the other is in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. These blobs were actually discovered many years ago and yet nothing new was ever learned about them. Some scientists think they could be lava in these blobs and if there is, it might be enough to cover the earth 60 miles deep. Well, that is not a very happy thought. The other group of scientists thinks they are hot plumes. While these are the two main theories there are other theories that are not as popular and one is something crashed into the earth and was huge. Could there have been other planets that no longer exist which crashed into the earth as it was forming and created these two areas? It seems like it could be a possibility. NASA has been experimenting on mice again and created a strain that is very muscular. They have been referred to as mighty mice. They are being returned to earth from the space station. The idea for creating these mice was to see if there was a way to make astronauts healthier while they are in space. This seems to me to entail altering the human body, which I always felt was not the best idea. When does it stop, will we be creating people who are no longer like the rest of us and don’t fit in? I personally believe we would be better off creating devices which would make it easier for humans to go into space.
