Interesting News February 13, 2015

Some of the news is pretty heady stuff. For instance the Russians are claiming they have satellite photo proof that the U.S. was responsible for the attack of September 11 on the World Trade Center. They say it was a controlled demolition and carried out by our proxies and the aim of the attack was to make US citizens think terrorists were responsible because we had an interest in the oil in the Middle East. I would dismiss this immediately if it weren’t for the fact an attack like this was suggested during the Cuban Missile Crisis. It was called Operation Northwoods. The Joint Chiefs suggested committing terrorist’s attacks against us and blaming the Cubans so we would have the support of the people if we invaded. President Kennedy rejected the idea, he should have fired the Joint Chiefs and everyone else who suggested this plan of action. I am not saying we blew up the World Trade Center, but I am saying we can no long just dismiss this charge out of hand, there is a lot of circumstantial evidence which could indicate it was not the planes which took the towers down.

Scientists are talking about using nanobots to repair humans who have diseases or injuries. The idea is to use a cloud device to control their movements. I must say this sound like George Orwell suggested it, it you get my meaning. It would seem to me this leaves the process open to a lot of abuse, not only by some in the medical profession, but also by officials, hackers and others who might want to do some of us harm. No one has figured out yet how to protect our financial data and software is being sold on the open market which has no other purpose than to let someone hack into somewhere they shouldn’t be. If we can’t protect our financial data, how are we going to protect the even more import data on some cloud site which is controlling tiny devices inside our bodies?

SETI has decided to send signals into space identifying us. I have to be truthful here and I have to ask the question, “What is wrong with those guys and women?” The target they are sending the signal to is 21,000 light years away and the signal they are using travels at the same speed, so they are sending out a signal which even our distant relatives may no longer know about. This is not only a waste of money but also a waste of time. Some say even if the signal reaches its target in that distant future the signal may be so degraded it would not be able to be read if it reaches intelligent and advanced life. Stephen Hawking, probably the world’s greatest physicist, thinks it is very dangerous to go look for alien life because he feels if we find it and it is more advanced than us, it will be the ruin of us. He likens it to when the Europeans came to North America and destroyed many of the indigenous people. Another reason this makes no sense is that technology is always advancing and it is almost a sure bet a new and quicker way will be invented to send a signal before the 21,000 years are up.

A scientist has written an article in the International Business Times in which he claims there was once life on Mars and it was destroyed in a nuclear attack. Dr. John Brandenburg is a physicist and expert in propulsion technologies. His paper is titled, Evidence o f a Massive Thermonuclear Explosion on Mars in the Past, The Cydonian Hypothesis and Fermi’s Paradox. I won’t bore you with all the details but here is what he said in a nut shell. There were two huge nuclear explosions on Mars and the sites the explosions occurred in were Cydonia and Utopia. He claims the red color of Mars was caused by the explosions. To back this up NASA’s Mars Odyssey spacecraft detected high concentrations of Xenon-129 in the atmosphere of Mars. When nuclear incidents occurred on Earth the same concentrations were found at the sites such as Chernobyl. There are some scientists who agree with the theory that there were nuclear explosions on Mars, but they attribute them to natural causes. Was there some sort of massive attack on Mars, the Moon and Earth and is this being kept from us?

Speaking about Mars, there were an awful lot of excited people when NASA released a recent photo of a scene on Mars which seemed to show a thigh bone. There have been quite a few photos of areas on Mars which looked like they had bones sticking out of the dirt. Surprise, surprise, NASA denies the object is a bone at all. It sure looks like a bone to me and I really don’t think there can be a credible denial without actually going there and picking it up and examining it. Notice how different “the bone” looks from everything else in the area, It seems to have a different texture and color from the rocks surrounding it except for a tiny bit under it which could also be a bone.

The HSBC scandal could be the biggest bank scandal in the last 5-10 years. HSBC Bank is a British multinational banking and financial services company and its headquarters are in London. The bank is huge and is the second largest in the world and is in 80 countries. It was founded in London in 1991 by the Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation which first opened branches in those places in 1865. The bank is about to be investigated by the United Kingdom’s Treasury Committee about allegations the bank’s Swiss private bank helped clients evade tax. A whistle blower said the British government should have known about this since 2010. It is being said the bank claimed it has but reforms in place since the crisis. I saw one article about this claiming many people went to jail for avoiding taxes, but the bank was never bothered. I can’t claim this is true, but it seems that way. It is now being said the UK Tax Authority is expanding its inquiry. The scandal has people asking question of the US government and they want to know why this was allowed to continue and what the US government did to rectify the problem of undeclared “black” accounts. Are there a select few who were getting away with not paying taxes or paying a lot less because of this?

I thought it was very strange that Neil Armstrong had a bag of objects which were supposed to remain in space and were connected with the moon landing. Even his wife didn’t know about it. Apparently she was going through his things after he died and found the bag. Could it be the story is wrong and Armstrong was given permission to keep the objects? Astronauts are sometimes given objects which are particular to their mission. Alan Bean an astronaut who walked on the moon put up artifacts in a Dallas auction. James Irwin was an astronaut on Apollo 15. When he died his estate put up a sight ring which was on a camera used by him. NASA has interrupted auctions in the past and demanded proof of ownership on space related objects put up by astronauts. This is what happened to Jim Lovell when his Apollo 13 checklist went up for sale. A bill was passed in 2012 and signed by the president in September which gave pre-shuttle astronauts ownership of various artifacts they collected from their missions with the exception of lunar samples. Based on this I believe Armstrong probably had the right to these items.
