Where is Heaven?
Once we get out into space will we ever find heaven? First of all, heaven has been depicted in some science fiction stories as existing on an alien planet, as I said that was just fiction. I guess one of the most important things would have to be a person believes in heaven or they wouldn’t know it if they found it. If we did find it, how would we know? Would we find a planet with all sorts of different beings living there? We shouldn’t think of heaven being only for humans.
There was a great mini series on television in 1980. It was called the Martian Chronicles and the basic story was we were sending people to Mars to colonize it and when they got there, they started to meet their dead relatives living there. One thing led to another and some of the believers began to suspect something was not right. It turned out the remains of a Martian race was protecting themselves by reading the minds of the humans and taking on the form of deceased love ones for protection.
Could we be fooled this way in the future? There certainly is a possibility which exists. Why would I say this? If we take any of the abduction stories as gospel, we have to realize at least some aliens can take control of our minds. They seemed to have proved this in a couple of different ways. The first being paralyzing people with just a stare and the second way is disguising themselves to look like us. There are some cases on record where a couple of people have seen through there disguise.
Could it be we would not find heaven but we might find another dimension with a planet in it where we all go to live another life before going to heaven, if we qualify, some time in the future. There are so many humans who had memories when they were children, of past lives where the facts checked out. There was just no way the children could have known any of these facts except as personal memories. I remember one story where a small child kept dreaming, he was in a burning fighter plane. He had memories of where he lived with some of his relatives and kept asking his parents to “take him home.” Finally, they all got into the family car and went to were the child said he lived in another life, and sure enough, there was a house on the street he dreamed about with the same house number. They knocked on the door and explained to the family what was going on and that family graciously let them look through the house. The child picked up a photo and referred to the person by name, which surprised everyone. Next, he went to where he said his room used to be after describing it, and sure enough it was as described. Finally, all the evidence pointed to a man who grew up in the home, became a fighter pilot in World War 2 and was shot down as his plane was on fire. How can anyone explain this other than reincarnation?
There is a theory I have been expressing for years and it has to do with insects like bees. They are born with genetic memory and it is believed it is passed on by chemicals. Could it be some humans are capable of this also and we don’t know it? So far this has never been proved.
If we ever found heaven existing on a planet or planets or even solar systems or galaxies, could we be sure? It seems like just about every galaxy has its black holes. Could this be because this is where we go when we die into a black hole which houses our heaven? Sure, it sounds crazy, but it seems like the universe is a crazy place. There are two different theories on the longevity of black holes. One says they last forever because nothing can escape them and this is the classical theory of general relativity. There is an opposing theory in quantum mechanics which refers to them slowly leaking Hawking radiation and eventually evaporating.
One puzzle which could explain where heaven is located is beyond the edge of the universe. We are yet to see past a certain point about 46.5 billion light years away, this means we don’t know if the universe is infinite or not, but most scientists believe in the Big Bang which they say created the universe. The question is are they correct, could there have been billions more Big Bangs further out in space, or is heaven just beyond the Big Bang universe?
The traditional view of where heaven is located is somewhere above us in space. This view was formed way before we knew anything about the other galaxies and such. The term “came down to earth” is used in many different places in religious dogma when talking about God, Jesus, saints and such, indicating this.
Could it be heaven is in a place which is totally unreachable by the living. Maybe it is in a place which has nothing to do with dimensions and is completely outside of anywhere we can imagine. Just as we cannot not imagine what some of the predicted higher dimensions would look like, because our brains are not capable of knowing this, so to could heaving be in that category.
Could there be aliens who with their superior brain power have been able to figure this out? I read the opinion of someone the other day on the subject of heaven and he was saying there is a big secret and the secret is everyone goes there no matter what life they lived on earth. The faithful would never agree with this however. If we all thought that way there would be no incentive to living a good life, would there? It seems to me someone would only say this to justify their actions.
Heaven has been a topic of discussion for thousands of years. It was called by many different names, but the idea was the same. If one lived an honorable life he was rewarded with a wonderful afterlife. The definition of honorable has changed over the years, but the idea was generally the same. Sometimes conditions for you death were attached, such as the Viking idea you needed to die with a sword in your hand.
Many people might think this article is nuts, because religion seems to be dying, at least in the United States, but there are still millions of religious people living here and they are upset about what is going on in the country.
