Mysterious Places, Events and Things There have been a lot of mysterious things happening. They range over every part of our lives and this is nothing new. There always seems to be things we either can’t explain or can’t explain right away. Take the space rock that was said to come from another solar system and maybe even another galaxy. Just because it was in an odd trajectory and had an elongated shape rumors started claiming it could be a spacecraft. It was the first object which was detected which was said to come not from our solar system, but from SOMEWHERE ELSE! As exciting as all this sounds it turned out the mysterious object was probably a comet which is now leaving our solar system. Did you ever wonder what the word mysterious meant? It means difficult or impossible to understand, explain or identify. Police in India are trying to figure out a mysterious murder. Eleven family members were found dead. Ten of them were blindfolded and found hanging. What made this mysterious was the fact police had received a call that some of the members of this family had committed suicide. Some of the bodies were those of children. There was no forced entry and it seems the family may have been observing some type of mystical practice which led to their deaths. The eleventh family member was not blindfolded. There is a site on the internet which is asking people to help in the solution of the mysterious disappearance of a college student from Massachusetts who disappeared after a car crash. The student’s name is Maura Murray. Many people have gone to the site and if you want to the address is below: Mysterious coins were found in an old church. When workers were restoring Bath Abbey in Great Britain they found some coins. These were not ordinary coins but very mysterious ones. On one side of the coins was the Latin phrase Civitas Diaboli which means the city of the devils. The other side bore a Danish legend “13 MAJ ANHOLT 1973.” The coins are known as devil coins and an archaeologist stated the legend refers to an investigation which was conducted on the Danish mainland where they found very strange sites. Some had strange masks, mysterious stone formations and bones on strings along with many other things such as black candles and more. Did the coins refer to devil worship? It certainly looks that way. A mysterious find was made on a farm in Donegal, Ireland. A farmer was digging a well, and noticed some objects in the clay. He brought them home and they sat in a sink for four days. The objects were gold rings and it is believed they are thousands of years old. When the curator of a museum saw them, she stated the find was a once in a lifetime for the county. The farmer said he had no idea of the value of the objects when they were found. A mysterious flash appeared in the sky on June 16, 2018 and it sent astronomers scurrying for their telescopes in hopes of figuring out what caused the flash. The flash was reported on Astronomer’s Telegram which is an online service for astronomers so they can disseminate information to other astronomers quickly. The reason the astronomers were so excited was the fact the explosion was nothing like that of a star. At first it was thought since the explosion was so bright It came from inside our galaxy, but after examination it proved to have come from CGCG 137-068 which is a galaxy in the constellation Hercules. What has really stunned astronomers is that the explosion was extremely bright in every wavelength which is quite unusual. No astronomer has been able to match the signals coming from the explosion to any nova which is the explosion of a star. A mysterious part of the human ear has baffled scientists, that is until recently. On June 28, 2018 Harvard Medical School finished a study. The study was taken because a medical fellow had noticed a tiny structure pulsating in a patient’s ear. It kept inflating and deflating. The structure was the endolymphatic sac, which is a fluid filled pocket and which is connected to the inner ear by a long, thin duct. They had no idea why it was pulsing. The study had found it was a sort of pressure relief valve which opens and closes to regulate the release of inner ear fluid. A woman could not understand her mysterious weight gain. Apparently, she hadn’t done anything different to cause her to gain weight and yet she had gained weight, a lot of it. She did have abdominal pain and shortness of breath and even some swelling. People thought she was pregnant with twins. It turned out the woman had a 50-pound cyst and had to have it removed. Lucky for her it was benign. I can’t figure out for the life of me how something which only exists electronically can be worth anything. Some have said credit cards are no different but I beg to differ with them since I can hold my credit card and the value is in recognized dollars which are sort of preloaded into the card. There seems to be no recognized monetary authority setting the value of bitcoins and their value varies. I think many others may feel the way I do even though some are quite happy with the way bitcoins work. If we were to look for a very mysterious place on our planet surely the Crooked Forest in Poland would have to be on the list. The trees in the forest are all bowed as they grow and it is said no one has figured out why.
