Sometimes while thinking about strange things in the world, I reflect on what I believe to be things not many others think about. By now you know I am interested in odd things, ancient things, UFOs and much more. I was wondering for example if there could be undiscovered things under some of the ancient monuments and even under the not so ancient ones. It just happened I saw something about the statues on Easter Island. It was an unverified article so I can’t say it was completely true, but it was interesting never the less. It showed a team which had dug under one of the Moai on Easter Island. If you are like me you probably believe that most of these statues are above ground and indeed when they have been discussed in the past this was indicated as true. In the article one Moai was dug under and it was about three or four times longer on the underground part than on the top. The photo showed archaeologists far below the statue. Could there be Moai which are far bigger than we suspect?

We have all been told nothing living can exist in space. Were we told something which scientists knew wasn’t true and are they hiding something from us? Some people began to suspect this when algae was found alive on the windows of the space station. Others say maybe there is some atmosphere that high up and we have been misled. When we speak about space it is called the vacuum of space. Could it be space is not a complete vacuum or not uniform throughout. Might there be places where space has some atmosphere? What is there to stop the right combination of atoms being spewed from some object in space which might create an atmosphere, even a temporary one? Many suspect we may not be told the truth about the atmosphere on Mars. They think there could be one, but it might be very close to the ground and if it was, there could be small life there. Might there also be an atmosphere on the moon, this has also been suspected. When I talk about atmosphere I am not necessarily talking about a thick atmosphere or an earth like one.

How do we know we were the first intelligent race to occupy the earth? The earth is a very dynamic planet and it changes over time. If we have gotten the age of the earth correct, it had time to accommodate several ancient intelligent forms of life over the years. However like everything else in science the dating method for the sun and planets could turn out to be wrong and the earth could be a lot older as some suspect or even a lot younger. I know there will be astronomers who will swear they are correct on their dates and most other scientists will agree with them, but as in the past when science believed for a long time something was correct and then found out it wasn’t for some reason, there is always the chance this could happen, no matter how slim. Up until the 20th century scientists believed the earth was always increasing in volume and they thought it was getting bigger. This idea persisted for hundreds of years.

Did you ever wonder what was buried under the oceans of the world? When we talk about long lost countries, cities and continents could they all still be there, but under the water? Many think there have been a string of cities and maybe even states which have sank. Take the famous legend of Atlantis. We don’t know if it ever existed and the proof of its existence is the barest of strings, yet we have all been fascinated with the story. How many times have you heard when a discovery was made of a city in the sea and it could be Atlantis? I bet you have heard this a lot of times as I did. If Atlantis existed and sank it would have probably been due to volcanic eruptions and if that happened Atlantis could not only have sank but got covered with lava which in turn would have been grown over with plant life and such making it extremely hard to find. In a way it would be like being under the ocean.

We seem to be interested in space travel and yet we have had no manned missions to other places after we finished with the Apollo program, except to the space station. We know launching rockets into space is not the way to go if we want to reach other worlds with humans aboard, because they are too slow. We also know sending a rocket even to the nearest solar system takes over 70,000 years. So here is the question, why did we launch a rocket with the Voyager probe to Alpha Centauri the closest star system with a record containing our position in our solar system and various messages? Doesn’t it stand to reason as time goes by we will be able to invent speedier vehicles as proven by the Ion engine craft today? The engines on the space shuttle were capable of about 18,000 miles mph while the Ion engine can propel a spaceship over 200,000 mph. I am sure NASA knew this was a wasted launch so you have to wonder why they spent all that time and money on it?

Why are the Egyptians so careful about not letting anyone examine what is under the arm of the Sphinx? There are many theories on what could be under there and the most prominent one is there is a room. Wouldn’t you think the Egyptians would want to have professional archaeologists examine it? There are those who think it has already been found secretly and it contained records which show the pyramids and maybe the temples were built not by the Egyptians, but a more ancient race and they built these things all over the world. Indeed pyramids are being found in many place and some are turning out to be far older than the Egyptian pyramids. I think the Egyptians don’t want to lose the tourist trade which might be their biggest source of income.

Water all over the world is disappearing or being contaminated. It seems the problem gets worse every year. Could there be a reason for at least some of this problem we don’t suspect? Could water companies, those people who bottle water see a way to create huge price increases in the future? Almost any corporation would like to find a way to make their product more necessary so they can hike its price. Are water companies any different?
