Strange Ruins And Finds

When we look back on the ancient people who came before us sometimes we have to wonder about the artifacts they left behind and other mysterious things. Some of these people were very ancient and others not so much, but the things some of them did was just as strange. Take the infamous Codex Gigas. You may not recognize this name, but you might recognize the English name it is known by which is the Devil’s Bible. The Devil’s Bible is a book so huge it take two people just to lift it. It is believed it was written in the 13th century A.D. The book itself took the skin of 160 animals to create. It has been preserved in the National Library in Stockholm. The pages are huge and contain full size images of the devil and had to take many years to create and there is a legend behind its creation. The legend states a monk was sentenced to die by being walled up alive. It is said he made a deal with the devil and wrote this book in one night and the picture of the devil was drawn by the devil himself. One of the things which seem to indicate the book was written in a short period of time is the fact the writing is constant through the book, but this could mean it was written within a few years. The book still remains a mystery to this day.

Turkey is a fascinating country. One of the reasons for this is it contains ruins from many different cultures who were there at one time or another. One of the most fascinating are the ruins at Gobekli Tepe. There are a few different reasons for this opinion, but one of the most prevalent is the date of the site. First let me tell you about the site. It is located on the top of a mountain in Turkey. It is known as a tell which is a type of mound which humans created and abandoned. The main structure is circular with stone monuments. Stones make up the round wall on the outside. The stone monuments contain incredible images of animals carved on them. Archaeologists say they have found different layers of human activity at the site. They have dated the earliest back to 9559 B.C. but some think the site may be much older. According to our history there shouldn’t be any structures like this back that far and yet here is a complicated one with beautiful carvings. What does this say to us? I think it is an indication that man was far more advanced much farther back in time than we think and this discovery might only be an indication that others exist which are far older such as the Bosnian Pyramid which had been dated as far back as 20,000 B.C.

Not all strange items found are man made. There is something called a Rat King. It looks like something out of a horror movie and no one knows what quite to make of it. Examples of it exist in several museums around the world. Let me explain what this horror is. It is composed of a group of rats, say 30 or more who have had their tails fused together somehow or knotted together. The all face outward and act as one animal. Some think one rat in the middle acts as the head of the beast and directs their movements. These things are still being found. The latest one I know about was found in Estonia, but the rats were already dead. In this case it was found their tails had been glued together by frozen sand.

One of the most interesting finds was the Nazca Lines. They are located in Peru and discovered by commercial aircraft in the 1920s. These lines and drawings are so large you cannot make them out when you are on the ground. They can only be clearly seen from the air. Currently scientists credit the Nazca culture with creating them. This would mean they were created somewhere between 400 and 650 AD. The question is why would any culture create drawings and lines so huge they could not be appreciated from the ground? There is more to this story however and that is there are large hills or mountains which have had their tops sheared off and yet there is no rubble anywhere and the technology to do this certainly didn’t exist that far back or so we believe. This is one of the reasons the following theory has come forth and that theory is the drawings were created by the people to honor aliens in UFOs who could see them from the air and the aliens were the ones who sheared off the mountain tops so they could use them for landing areas. One ancient mystery is who created the crystal skulls. The skulls were made from clear or milky white quartz and are perfect replicas of human skulls. They are believed to be pre-Columbian. They are many experts who claim the dating of the skulls is wrong and they are from the 19th century, but just as many believe they are pre-Columbian. It is thought since they bear no tool marks, but this refers to the skulls which are believed to be genuine. There are probably hundreds of fake crystal skulls out there. There is a theory that it took about two hundred years of rubbing and polishing to create a genuine crystal skull and they are believed to possess certain powers by some. Some have claimed the Mitchell-Hedges crystal skull could be as old as 12,000 years and suggested it was made by using sand to grind it to the appropriated shape over a period of 150 to 300 years. The skull has a detachable jaw. I don’t think any museum would ever admit this skull is a genuine ancient artifact, because it would alter history.

Sometimes it is the little things that matter and the next thing I want to talk about is indeed little. Not too long ago in 1998 something very unusual was found in a stone, a very old stone. There have been some interesting things found in stones before, such as a transistor, a sparkplug, jewelry and other objects. This time a three prong electrical plug was found. How is this possible when the stone was said to be 100,000 years old? The person who found the stone said he found it in a remote area in North America, but doesn’t want to give the exact location. He wanted $500,000 for the stone. I guess he doesn’t want to give the area because he probably wants to keep looking there for other finds. Is this a hoax? It could be or on the other hand it could be another strange thing found in rocks. The finder of the rock said his stone is available for examination by experts but as far as I know, there are no takers. The finder said he contacted an engineer and geologist who examined the stone and they told him it was clear the rock formed around the object.

Our history is just full of strange ruins and finds which cannot be explained yet. There is a large part of the story missing and some of the reason for that is the suppression of facts by scientists and even governments. Our history is different than we were told and all one can do is hope that someday the truth will win out.
