Ancient Artifacts

There have been a lot of strange things found over the years. These objects seem to defy the time period to which they were dated and yet experts swear the dating is conservative. It is sometimes based on the strata the object is found in. Other times it may be dated by the fact it was found in an unopened ancient tomb which the archaeologists know the date of. It might also be something which can be dated using various scientific means, such as carbon dating. This is what many scientists find upsetting and why some of the objects have disappeared while others have been sent to some unknown museum basement, never to be seen again. There are a lot of fascinating things out there which seem to prove the ancients were very advanced in some areas, areas which we may not be as advanced in today. It is common knowledge and is far too available to hide the fact the ancients could move huge stones we are not capable of moving today and put them on top of mountains in some cases, but I am not talking about this today, I am referring to objects which shouldn’t have existed.

One of the objects which was discovered proves the astounding fact the ancients knew about electricity. Who would have ever believed that? This was confirmed with the discovery of the Baghdad Battery. The battery was discovered in 1936. While most scientists believe this was indeed a battery, there are some who are not so sure. There is no doubt when you combine the 3 objects which were found together they do create a battery. They are a ceramic pot, a metal tube made of copper and an iron rod. The iron rod is isolated from the copper by bitumen when the rod and cylinder are inserted into the jar. If the jar was filled with the correct solution it would surround the internals and produce electricity. This has already been proven several times. If you ask an archeologist what the object is they will deny it is a battery. You have to wonder how the most obvious conclusion is being ignored when these people are quick to put out theories which have much less proof.

The next object I would like to mention is one which is said to have been impossible to make in the time period it was dated to. The problem for those who deny its date is it was found on a shipwreck which is known to have been from Ancient Greece and date back to somewhere between 150 and 100 BCE. The object is a mechanical computer known as the Antikythera device. It blew the minds of those who figured out what it was. It had been laying corroded in a museum basement when modern technology allowed it to be examined and X-rayed and to the surprise of everyone involved it had gears and workings and they could be seen. We are talking about a device which was at least 1,400 years ahead of anything else. It got its name because it was found in a shipwreck off the coast of the Greek Island Antikythera. It had originally been discovered in 1900. The device is so complex and the metal gears so precise when there were no other metal gears known, it made the object seem almost alien. Some think the genius Archimedes might have built the object, others think it might have been constructed in the ancient Greek city of Pergamon because of its famous library and advanced science.

The Coso Artifact is one of the objects which has disappeared, but there is plenty of photographic evidence showing the object existed. This artifact was found after a diamond-edged blade cut through a rock inside of which the object was discovered. A geologist stated the rock had taken at least 500,000 years to form. The scientific community was quick to jump on this and state the rock could have formed in just a few decades. In this instance scientists are correct and this has been proven by a shipwreck in which the date of the sinking was known. The ship had only been sunk for about 150 years and yet solid rock had formed around the ship’s bells. It was also found that some fossilized shrimp were only four to six weeks old, so it is possible for something to get inside certain types of rock very fast. This is why it is important to know where the rock was found. In this case the rock was thought to be made of clay. We shouldn’t be too quick to call something ancient when it is obvious it could be modern.

Things which seem to not be able to exist have not only been found on earth, but in other places such as Mars. NASA released a photo from the Mars Curiosity Rover which clearly shows a Martian Pyramid. The pyramid shown is about the size of a large car, but it has caused quite a stir on the internet. Many who have seen it claim it is only the cap of the pyramid we are seeing and most of it is under the sand, of course none of us have any way of knowing that and it is pure speculation. What we do know is the pyramid is too perfect to be an act of nature. NASA hasn’t said anything of consequence about the pyramid. Ancient cultures both here on earth and if they existed on Mars, have left some interesting things behind. There is a very strong reason to believe if we knew more about them we would be amazed at how advanced they were in certain areas. We tend to think of ancient races as not being as smart as us, and yet we are finding out they were at least as smart and maybe even more advanced in certain areas of endeavor. As far as Mars is concerned there are clues all over the planet that there was an advanced civilization there, because they left behind some fascinating things such as glass tunnels, pyramids, statues and many other things. When people talk to me about this, I tell them if these things were allowed to leak out of NASA, just imagine what is there we don’t know about.

In all fairness some of the things which are supposed to be ancient mysteries are bunk, but there are a few things which cannot be explained and point to the fact some humans were geniuses. When someone tells me a watch was found in a tomb which was never opened and was two thousand years old I just think about someone there planting it. I don’t jump to the conclusion of time travelers losing it there as so many do. Human nature is such we want to find out more about aliens, time travel and such, but some of us are too ready to accept these things without proof and if we are speaking about time travel there certainly is no proof of any kind it exists.
